Teacher Annabelle

Teacher Annabelle embarked on her dance journey when she was 5, attaining a Honours Plus in her first CSTD Pre Ballet examination, and has since obtained a Distinction in her RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam in 2015, and completed her RAD Intermediate Ballet Exam in 2016. She has also received her teaching certificate with Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD) in 2023 and is now an Associate Teacher with the organisation.

Exploring various genres from Ballet, Chinese Dance, to Jazz and K-pop, she has completed her CSTD Grade 9 Modern Jazz examinations in 2023 and placed in dance competitions such as 4th in Teenage magazine’s K-Pop Dance Battle 2014 and 3rd in Korean Night Festival 2014. With nine years of teaching experience and counting, Teacher Annabelle holds a portfolio of Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and K-pop classes in Amy’s School of Dance, and is choreographing for dance competitions such as Get The Beat Singapore, EVOLUTION Dance Competition, Asia Arts Festival and Singapore Challenge Cup.

Teacher Annabelle aims to inspire her students to be versatile dancers capable of adapting and appreciating any dance genre to maximise their full potential!

Teacher Tricia

Tricia was first introduced to dance in Singapore at age 6.
Starting out in Tap and Jazz, she pursued other styles of dance training such as Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern Lyrical and Contemporary when she moved to Australia at age 10. At 19 she enrolled at the Village Performing Arts school in Sydney to pursue a one year intensive program focused in dance, singing and drama. She graduated with a cert IV in performing arts in 2012.

Tricia is full-time freelancer specialising in dance and pilates. She is a member of the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) and received her certification in Dance Teaching and Business Management in 2021. Besides teaching a range of genres and levels at Amy School of Dance, Tricia is involved in choregraphing for ASOD's growing compeition team and training the next generation of dance teachers.

Regardless of age or dance experience, Tricia believes that everyone can communicate and express themselves freely through dance. She only hopes to inspire the love of dance in her students and encourage them to pursue their dreams whatever they may be.

Teacher Daphne

Daphne started her dance journey 18 years ago with trainings in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip Hop and partner dances. She has participated in commercial studio recitals and dance competitions, and has travelled to New York, Melbourne and London for dance classes to further hone her skills.

Currently, Daphne is a full-time freelance dance instructor and has received her Commonwealth Society of Teacher’s of Dancing (CSTD) certification (Modern Jazz and Contemporary). She has obtained her Teachers Diploma in CSTD Modern Jazz in 2019. Throughout her years of teaching, Daphne has taught in schools CCA and enrichment programmes, open Jazz classes for both children and adults, Contemporary classes and graded syllabus (ATOD & CSTD) in Jazz. She has sent in students for both local and overseas dance competitions such as Get the Beat (SG & World Finals), ATOD Bangkok and CSTD Born to Perform.

A firm believer of good balance of technique and freedom of expression through dance, Daphne looks forward to and wishes for the next generation of dancers to be well-rounded dancers!

Teacher Shannon

Shannon's journey in dance began at the tender age of 3, when she commenced her RAD ballet training under the guidance of Ms. Pang Ling and Ms. Lan Minli. At 13, she expanded her repertoire by diving into contemporary dance, which led her to participate in numerous local and international competitions, earning accolades along the way. Her deep-rooted passion for dance has taken her through various roles in performance, choreography, and teaching—a facet she now cherishes the most. Shannon was selected as a TRDO Youth Ambassador for two years, where she trained intensively under Mr. Ryan Tan and the company members, and secured her a spot as a company dancer with TRDOCo in 2019, where she delivered remarkable performances in productions such as *EPIC!*, *TRDOco (Emoji)*, and *ACT6: Civilisation*.

Her versatility extends beyond the stage; she was part of Dance Capital's inaugural recital show in 2017, *DANCE MUSICAL: THE P.A.*, and played the leading role of Lilac Fairy in a ballet production of *Sleeping Beauty*. She has also been featured in commercial video shoots for high-profile clients like Canon Asia and Starhub Singapore.

Shannon's teaching philosophy centers on encouraging passion and promoting positive values through dance, with the belief that her students will come to love and appreciate the art form.

Teacher Denise

Ballet was first introduced into Denise’s life at the tender age of 5. Since then, dancing has become a crucial part of her life. She believes dancing is not only a form of exercise, but cultivates determination, character and confidence.

Having completed her higher grades with distinction under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), she is now pursuing her RAD Intermediate Level Grade examination in Dance this year.

She has also actively taken part in many public performances such as fund raising for St Hilda’s, the Cancer Research Fund, Chingay 2009 and more.

Teacher Wan Yu

Lee Wan Yu began her dance training at the age of 5 in Ballet with Sylvia McCully, a respected Singapore dance pioneer. She is a graduate of SUNY Purchase’s Conservatory of Dance Bachelor of Fine Arts’ programme and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ (NAFA) Diploma in Dance programme. During her studies, she trained rigorously in Ballet, Modern and Contemporary Dance, picking up other genres of dance during her free time.

Upon graduation, Wan Yu has performed internationally in Hong Kong, New York and London. Additionally, she has choreographed for various events, including Singapore’s da:ns Festival 2017 and most recently, the National Day Parade 2024.   Wan Yu has been teaching Ballet and Contemporary since 2018 to children aged 3 and above, as well as adults. She has choreographed and coached solos and group items for several local dance competitions, including EVOLUTION Dance Competition and Singapore Challenge Cup. She became an Associate Teacher with the Australian Teachers of Dancing in 2023, and continues to perform and choreograph on a freelance basis.

Wan Yu believes in nurturing passion and imparting positive values through dance. She hopes that her students will develop a love and appreciation for the art form and life!
